Drifters Lodge is a small locally owned and operated fishing lodge situated at the headwaters of the world famous Kenai River in Cooper Landing, Alaska.
We have been in operation for 11 seasons and strive to improve and expand our services we offer to our guests. Most of our staff and volunteers have
been here for many years.
The lodge staff tries to help you with all your needs which we refer to as, “Relaxed Pampering” this is what we strive for most Special Requests: Drifters
Lodge will do what we can to make your Alaskan Vacation a vacation to remember. If there is something you would like when you are here or want to do
while you are here we will try to make it happen. We should know in advance for most of these special items so please give us enough lead time to
prepare. We offer 1st class accommodations and so many fishing choices that it could take a month or more to take advantage of all of them. Cooper
Landing is famous for the variety of activities that are available, so if fishing is not your thing don’t be alarmed there are still many other activities to keep
everyone busy. See our Activities page to get some of the ideas.
The Lodge has a nightly campfire at the river’s edge to unwind after a great day of adventures (Marshmallows provided) or maybe the new Swedish Sauna
with its big picture window overlooking the Kenai River and Chugach Mountains is your choice for relaxing. Either way we have you covered.
Drifters Lodge is road accessible via a scenic 99 mile drive south of Anchorage by highway which is open year round.
Centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula, Drifters Lodge is a great home away from home, allowing easy day trips to Seward, Kenai/Soldotna, Homer and
Girdwood/Whittier. So if you’re planning includes these or other south central Alaska destinations you don’t need to pack and unpack multiple times
taking up a lot of your precious vacation time. Make Drifters you base of operations.

Rafting
The Kenai River
Drifters Lodge offers 3 different rafting trips on the Kenai River All 3 trips are suitable for all ages.
The guides are fun and very informative. Have fun and play stump the guide with questions about the area.

7 Miles about 2 hours Adults $50 Children under 12 $30
12 Miles about 3 hours Adults $75 Children under 12 $40
The Kenai River Canyon Trip
25 Miles about 7 hours Adults $165 Children 12 and under $100
Six Mile Creek Class III, IV, IV+ and V
Six Mile Creek is a rafting dream for fanatics. Dropping over 50 feet per mile as it flows out of the Chugach Mountains, Sixmile Creek has cut its way
through three separate canyons offering Class III,IV and V whitewater.
The Upper and Middle Canyons have Class III and IV rapids. This raft trip is the introduction to Sixmile Creek and is a fun trip for adventurous first timers.
Suitable for those 12 years and over. 2 – 3 hours. $99 per person.
The Upper, Middle and Lower Canyons For those with a thirst for whitewater, set a course through all three canyons. The Lower Canyon has six rapids
rated at Class IV+ and V. This raft trip is 4 – 5 hours and is suitable for people 15 years and older. $149 per person.

Drifters Lodge is a small locally owned and operated lodge that prides itself in providing its guests with comfortable, clean and guest friendly lodging in a
pristine Alaskan wilderness environment. Surrounded by the Chugach National Forest, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and the Kenai River you will be
experiencing the best in scenery and wildlife Alaska has to offer. Wildlife sightings are normal in this area and the scenery breathtaking. Although two to
three times in a season, a bear will wander through the Drifters Lodge property, it is not an everyday occurrence. Bears are not a problem here at the
lodge so please do not be alarmed by this, as this is Alaska.

Most of our visitors come for the unparalleled beauty and fishing that the Kenai River and our area offer, but once here, they soon find that our Alaska
fishing cabin options are more like the riverfront cabin they always wish they had. Our visitors find warmth, relaxation, and spacious accommodations in
each Alaska cabin we offer here, always telling us how hard it is to leave.
Lodge Rooms
The lodge rooms are located in the main house close to the river. There are 5 bedrooms in the two story house three of the bedrooms are located on the
main floor and two are on the second floor.
